The Lucifer Story
The re-opening of “Lucifers” Bar will bring back memories to the many Guernsey men and women, as well as visitors to the island, who used to meet and drink there in its heyday in the seventies and experienced the wild parties that resided in the bar every weekend. Lucifers was closed in the early 70’s when it was integrated into the dining area of the main hotel and has not been re-opened until now - 2008. The essence of the 1960’s look, with its painted flames, deep red walls and low-lit booth seating has been revived but Lucifers now has a much better bar, less sticky carpets and the menu choices are more varied than solely the option of salted or roasted peanuts.
